Kiminini Member of Parliament (MP) Chris Wamalwa has shared his opinion over the purported motion to impeach Deputy President William Ruto by Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Speaking during the Day Break show on Citizen TV, the legislator termed Orengo's sentiments as mere talk with no absolute grounds.
"As far as I am concerned, the motion to impeach the Deputy President cannot see the light of the day," he said.
The legislator further noted that for the impeachment motion to be successful, Orengo has to convince and acquire a third of the signatures of the total Members of Parliament.
"To impeach a Deputy President, one requires a third (1/3) of members signatures supporting the motion.
"To pass such a motion requires two thirds (2/3) of the house to support it," he said.
