Ford-Kenya Secretary General Eseli Simiyu seems to have a different opinion of the ruling Jubilee party, amid an apparent romance between the party top brass and the leading bloc.
This follows recent shows of political friendship between Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and his Deputy and former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
Speaking at Jamboni, Uasin Gishu on Sunday, October 21, Khalwale openly threw his weight behind the DP, basing his decision on Ruto's incumbency.
‘’It has come to my attention that in Africa, you cannot defeat a candidate of a sitting President and that is why I have decided that I will not waste time waiting for results to be relayed by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. I choose to support Ruto in 2022," he was quoted by the Standard.
But in an interview on NTV’s AM Live on Tuesday morning, Eseli urged Kenyans to shun Jubilee on whose ticket Ruto is expected to vie for the top seat.
Basing his argument on the runaway graft, he stressed the need for the nation to acquire a new leadership committed to eradicating the menace.
‘’Harambees are one of the main drivers of corruption. Come 2022, Kenyans should avoid Jubilee like the plague. They have messed up the economy, they have messed up the farmer,’’ he was quoted in a tweet.
