Nakuru county attorney took office on Wednesday after being sworn in.
Six chief officers were also sworn into office during a function attended by Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
"Today I witnessed swearing in of Nakuru County Attorney Caleb Nyamwange and signing of contracts by six new Chief Officers," Governor Kinyanjui said.
The county boss called on the new appointees to serve residents with fairness.
"I urged the new appointees to serve all Nakuru residents diligently and observe integrity. All Chief Officers will sign performance contracts and they are expected to deliver on their mandate," he added.
Dr. Solomon Kibet Sirma was sworn in as the chief officer, Medical Services, Daniel Muthinga for Roads, Transport and Public Works.
Samuel Kingori will serve as the Public Health chief officer and Anne Njenga as the Public Service Management chief officer.
Others are Joel Kibet, Agriculture and Paul Githinji who will be chief officer in the Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance.
