Addressing Diani residents on Saturday, Dori alleged that Omari Boga is behind his ODM woes.

He asked his rival to be objective and support his relation with the Jubilee government as he did when his bother Hamadi Boga was appointed as a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture.

“If he thinks working with government is an offence, let me justify this that his brother professor Hamadi Boga was appointed PS for Agriculture by Jubilee administration even before the handshake but how comes he didn’t complain about it,” Dori told Baraka FM.

The MP maintained that he is still firmly in ODM. He said that working with the government is not an offence that warrants punishment.

Dori has faced the wrath of ODM disciplinary committee after declaring his support for Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

His case has been forwarded to the party’s NEC alongside his Malindi counterpart Aisha Jumwa.

Jumwa has been the most vocal coastal leader drumming up support for DP Ruto. She has warned ODM that they risk losing the Mijikenda support if the duo are expelled from the party.
