Deputy President William Ruto has been praised following his generosity in various fundraises across Kisii and Nyamira counties.
St Mary’s Nyamagwa Girls’ High School principal, Mellen Nyambeki termed DP Ruto a generous leader who has been at the front line helping learning institutions to improve their infrastructure.
"I want to thank DP Ruto for being generous and accepting to continue donating funds to help schools more especially in Nyamira and Kisii counties to boost infrastructure. Other political leaders should borrow a leaf from DP Ruto," she stated at the school on Tuesday.
According to the principal, DP Ruto's numerous appearances in fundraisers in Nyamira and Kisii counties should not be politicised.
"Local leaders need to shun politics when DP Ruto is invited to preside over a funds drive meant to help our school build more classrooms, dormitories and laboratories to accommodate the high number of students who joined secondary from primary in the 100% transition," she stated.
She challenged DP Ruto not to succumb to criticism piled on him due to his generosity.
Nyambeki further challenged parents to be supportive to teachers who she said are working hard to educate their children.
