One person died in Elburgon and five others were admitted at a hospital after an end year party held by a boss to his staff turned tragic.
The group of young men was reportedly partying in a local bar where they indulged in excessive alcohol at an end of year party.
A survivor told this writer that they were drinking in a local bar where their ‘boss’ had thrown a party for them.
A waitress at the bar said the group was jovial and checked into the bar at around 1pm.
“They were okay and were having fun. One of them even asked me for my contacts before they left at around 8:30 pm,” she said.
Another source at the bar said they were drinking Kenya King and Kenya Cane spirits.
Molo OCPD Daniel Kamaanza said hell broke loose when they left the premise.
“They left the bar at 8.30pm and went to their respective homes, however, some fainted and vomited continuously as their condition worsened,” Kamaanza said.
Elburgon residents have called on screening the drinks on sale in area bars to ensure they are safe for human consumption.
