Opposition activist Miguna Miguna has lashed out at National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi for implying that President Uhuru Kenyatta's government is to some extent doing the right thing.
Speaking on Tuesday, Mbadi said that the opposition will not criticize the Jubilee government blindly, and will as well laud it whenever it does the right thing.
The Suba South Member of Parliament said that the opposition will be ready to criticise Uhuru and his leadership, but will as well be willing to congratulate it for a job well done.
"We should criticize and appreciate where the government is doing right," said the opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party national chair.
However, the remarks have not been received well by the former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant, who hit out at the MP for praising the man behind the opposition's current woes.
He insisted that Uhuru rigged ODM and Raila out in the 2017 presidential elections before ordering his police to kill opposition supporters, wondering why Mbadi can again praise him.
Miguna says that Uhuru deserves serious condemnations for his character towards the opposition after the elections, and doesn't deserve any praise for anything.
"John Mbadi is a certified zombie and conman, like Raila Odinga. Uhuru Kenyatta stole the 2017 elections, murdered and maimed hundreds of ODM members and has neither apologized for those crimes nor restituted for them. Instead of condemning Uhuru, you lick the soles of his shoes?" he wrote.
Mbadi's remarks come at a time when Uhuru and Raila Odinga have been working closely after their March 2018 truce, a reconciliation that has been heavily condemned by Miguna.
According to Miguna, Raila betrayed the millions of voters that stood with him against Uhuru, before taking to the streets in a his to push Uhuru out after he (Raila) cried foul in the polls.
