The locals have now ganged up demanding the MP to formally apologize and drop his plan to relocate the institution.

Led by a political activist Cliff Real Musiq, the locals claimed that the MP is 'egocentric' and should not be allowed to run the constituency as his 'own kiosk'

"We are bitter with the MP who wants to take the institution to his place of choice just because Riana people didn't vote for him. It is time the MP should upgrade the institution at its current location instead of getting it rough and tough from the constituents," he noted.

Pavel Oimeke, a newly entrant into the constituency's MP seat while speaking on Sunday at Ngeri Catholic church differed with the MP's plans to move the institution.

According to Oimeke, the MP should consider upgrading Ngeri Polytechnic to meet the 'Technical Institute standards'.

"Locating the institution is not the solution. All that is required is to improve the institution and equip it with learning materials and instruments," stated Oimeke.

Oimeke added; "Bonchari is one and we should be united and focus on developing our constituency."

Douglas Ombati argued that Mr. Oyioka should stop initiating divisions and enmity among the people.

"We are not ready to be divided by anyone. Oyioka must embrace equality and unity in his leadership," said Ombati.
