Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has been told to resign following the recent Rhinos' controversial deaths.
Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior said the CS must resign since he is a 'failure'.
“Balala should pack and go home since he has failed to deliver. We don’t want lazy officers like Balala to continue working in the government while wildlife animals are dying under unclear circumstances,” Kilonzo said.
He spoke during an interview in Citizen Television on Wednesday night.
The vocal senator said President Uhuru Kenyatta should move with speed and sack Balala who has gone to the extent of rubbishing Kenyans demanding answers following the Rhinos' deaths.
“The Head of State should act and sack people referring themselves as the untouchables. Let Uhuru start sending home Balala after he chest thumbed that he was appointed by the president to serve at the Tourism docket,” Kilonzo said.
The Wiper senator called on state officers to respect Kenyans and stop making remarks which may annoy common citizens who have elected leaders to represent them at the National Assembly and Senate.
According to the senator, leaders should commit themselves in serving the electorates by fulfilling their campaign promises made during 2017's polls.
