Deputy President William Ruto has been asked to come out clean and explain to Kenyans how Sh7 billion he claimed to have been missing in the dam's construction.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka argued that DP Ruto is hiding something from Kenyans.
"It is high time Mr Ruto should come out and explain what he knows about the dams scandal. He claimed that Sh7 billion got lost in the construction of the dam. Kenyans need to know the truth on who told DP Ruto about the lost money," said MP Onyonka.
He slammed DP Ruto for being a barrier to the fight against graft.
"I have been DP Ruto's supporter but, since he started becoming a barrier to the fight against corruption I lost hope in him. Leaders like him can't continue being in leadership while tolerating graft," said the vocal lawmaker.
The legislator appealed to Kisii leaders to step up efforts in the fight against corruption.
"Corruption is an enemy to development. Kisii leaders should be at the front line helping President Uhuru Kenyatta and other relevant authorities to fight graft in this country," he added.
