Majority of Nakuru residents have some knowledge about their Governor Lee Kinyanjui, some of whom became familiar with him during his tenure as the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) boss.
Similarly, many know a thing or two about his predecessor and the first governor of the county, Kinuthia Mbugua, who is now serving as the State House Comptroller.
However, despite the Nakuru county governors being popular, the case is the complete opposite when it comes to their deputies.
Due to their silence once in office, only keen people, the press and the ones working in contact with the county government will tell you that Kinyanjui’s deputy’s name is Erick Korir.
Similarly, very few know about Joseph Rutto, the man who deputized former Governor Mbugua throughout his tenure.
