Following Raila's rejection of the Uhuru's Moses Kuria-led team, Cord has so far tabled a list of demands that the Jubilee side said they (Jubilee) won't accept.
The demands by Cord on proposed IEBC dialogue include:
1. Members to be 7/7
2. No involvement of Senate and National Assembly speakers
3. No application of standing orders
4. Co-chairing by two members drawn from Cord and Jubilee
5. The names of persons nominated to dialogue shall not be taken to parliament for approval
6. Time-frame to be four weeks
7. The outcome of the dialogue to be taken to Parliament with no allowance for a negative vote. (It must be accepted.)
8. Four joint secretaries, 2 from both the coalitions
9. Members to report back to their respective coalitions.
Cord leaders have vowed that if these conditions will not be met in the IEBC dialogue, they will be back on the streets to make sure that IEBC commissioners leave office and a new team is elected to head the nearing 2017 elections.
