Ropes- some people believe that when you are pregnant you should not pass or step over the ropes because it may cause nuchal cord where the umbilical cord tangles the baby’s neck

No gifts- before a child is born, no presents and gifts are allowed. It is believed that this may make the child have defects or die during birth.

Cutting hair- it is superstitious that a pregnant woman should not cut her hair because it may cause vision problems to the unborn baby.

Seeing ugly animals- seeing ugly animals during pregnancy is associated with having an ugly baby.

Dreaming of a snake and fish-Dreaming a natural to everybody including pregnant women. But others believe that if a pregnant woman dreams of o snake, she will give birth to a boy and if a fish it’s a girl.

Beautiful-people may come to the conclusion that if a woman is so beautiful during pregnancy, she is carrying a baby girl.

No sex when pregnant- sex when pregnant is the best thing but others say that when pregnant, you should stop having sex because the sperms can harm the unborn baby.

Being active- Others believe that you see a lady so active especially when working, it is a baby boy.

During labor, everything around the woman must be ‘loosened’ to unblock the passage of the baby through the cervix. Shoelaces, watches, ties, and necklaces must be opened otherwise the baby will refuse to come out.
