The rescuing of 9 rabbits by the team that was helping to find missing persons under the Huruma rubbles was viewed as a hope of life for many.
“Rescuers at a collapsed building in Huruma, Nairobi, Kenya, rescued 9 rabbits, bringing the hope of life under the rubble,” tweeted Red Cross.
The good news comes in the wake of another encouraging rescue success after a baby girl was rescued miraculously on Tuesday from the collapsed building in Huruma.
Through a statement, the head of corporate affairs at Kenya Red Cross Society, Anthony Mwangi confirmed that that the year -and- a- half-old child was rescued from the debris at 04:00 hours as search and rescue operations were underway at the collapsed building in Nairobi county.
The child was later taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital by the Kenya Red Cross Rescue vehicle and is currently undergoing treatment.
