A  9-year-old boy died in Murang'a after a dog attacked him and bite his hand.

The boy's family have blamed a private clinic where the boy was rushed after the attack and was treated and discharged.

The family said after the attack by a neighbor's dog, the owner rushed him to hospital.

However, few days later, he developed sharp pain around the neck and shoulder.

When they were referred to Murang'a Level 5 hospital, it was revealed that the boy had been mistreated at the private clinic.

Efforts to reach the private clinic were futile.
