On Friday, reports that Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri slapped Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen spread on social media like wildfire.
The claims caused abuzz as netizens said that Ngunjiri was irked by Murkomen’s comments during a meeting with Mau forest evictees where he reportedly called President Uhuru Kenyatta a mkora.
“This eviction is done by someone who got into government through the window and is working with wakora from the other side,” Murkomen said.
This was said to be what caused the slapping by Ngunjiri.
President Daniel Moi’s press secretary Alex Kiprotich, who is a trusted journalist within Nakuru, had also posted the claim on his Facebook page.
We have however established that there was no altercation between the two leaders.
"He is not happy with what Murkomen said but he has not slapped him. I don't even think they have met, someone wants to spoil his name," a source from the MP's office told this writer.
