Governor John Nyagarama on Thursday claimed that for the 3 months health workers have been on strike, he wasn’t earning monthly salary.
According to Nyagarama, the crisis affected all workers across the departments including his office.
“The same way doctors and nurses have been received their salaries for 3 months is the same way I have suffered.
"For all the months I have not been earning my salary,” he said, blaming opponents for the quagmire.
“My political rivals are the reason county workers have been boycotting work."
He lauded health workers officials for calling off the strike saying Nyamira constituents will now continue enjoying services.
“Locals have suffered a lot but, I am happy the health workers have agreed to resume duty.
"Our people will not suffer again because my government will ensure doctors and nurses are paid salaries in time,” he stated.
