Ouma said that the death of the student is a big blow to the nation.

He noted that it is unfortunate that the suspect, Naftali Kinuthia Njahi decided to take away the life of another human being because of selfish reasons.

Dr Oluga questioned why the suspect was accorded treatment yet the student was left to die following the attack.

He wants the facility to explain what transpired before the demise of the student.

“A budding medic is brutally murdered outside MTRH. Perpetrator is beaten. He quickly gets security which the victim didn't get and he gets treated at the same hospital casualty where the victim worked. Drs at MTRH casualty deserve Humanity Medal Award. Painful! ” he posted on Twitter.

The remarks come after the mother of suspect, Nancy Kinuthia also expressed shock following the death.

The mother said that the two were dating but he had not seen any problems until the murder news hit headlines.

"I have never seen any problems with him since he was young up to now, he has been a calm person who you could not imagine him doing what I heard," said Nancy.
