Khalwale was on Friday received into the party by Deputy President William Ruto, in a public function that was held in his Malinya backyard in Ikolomani, Kakamega county.

However, Manyora now says that Khalwale's move was only an officiation of something that has always been there, insisting that he crossed over a very long time ago.

In his YouTube analysis channel Take It or Leave It Saturday, the commentator lauded Khalwale for finally making it public, especially the Western Kenya electorate.

"I want to congratulate Khalwale for openly telling Kenyans and the Luhya nation that he has joined Jubilee where he has been, without saying," he said.

Though largely criticized and questioned by Kenyans, he stressed on the need for Kenyans to accept the changes, noting that Khalwale has every right to switch parties as he pleases.

He added that the same is not new in the country, adding that no single politician in Kenya can claim that they have never done the same at some point in their careers.

According to Manyora, most of the top politicians can be traced back to the independence Kenya African National Union (KANU) party.

"Kenya is a place where people move from party to party and no politician can claim they have not crossed over to another. Actually, all of the major ones are KANU orphans," he added.

Before his exit, Khalwale was the Ford Kenya Deputy Party Leader.
