Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday visited his long time friend former Attorney General Charles Njonjo.
Odinga shared the news about the visit on his official Twitter handle, but did not divulge details about the meeting.
“Visited my long time friend Charles Njonjo last evening," he tweeted.
Njonjo, who is the only surviving member of Kenya's Independence Cabinet, where he served as the Attorney General, turned 99 this year.
In an interview early this year, Njonjo revealed that he is very mindful about his diet, adding that he still exercises a lot.
“I look after myself. I swim daily, I used to do 12 laps, now I do only seven. I also have a bicycle which I ride for 10 minutes daily. I also hit the treadmill for about 10 minutes daily. I’m also careful about what I eat; I don’t eat nyama choma, I eat a lot of veggies,” he said as quoted by Standard Digital.
Earlier in the day, the former Prime Minister held a meeting with different stakeholders in the forestry sector.
“Met with stakeholders in the forestry sector and discussed strategic interventions aimed at increasing forest cover in Kenya including engaging County Governments, promoting PPP in forest conservation, and banning the use of cedar products among other measures,” he tweeted.
