Former Palos football club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nick Ochieng has said he is ready for the race ahead of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections.
Addressing the media at a Kisumu hotel on Sunday, Ochieng said he is ripe for the position of the Kisumu County FKF chairmanship, revealing that he understands the difficulties the clubs within Kisumu County go through.
“As a former player of Kenya Pipeline and director Palos FC and the current Kisumu Allstars Chief Executive Officer I know the pinch of running a club,” said Ochieng.
On Sunday Ochieng launched his office which he christened ‘Progressive Team Change’, a team of four headed by himself, FKF Nyando Sub-branch chairman Joshua Ogonji (his vice-chairman), Mr Kassim Peter (his Secretary-General) and Women Representative for Kisumu County Goretti Ogada.
The Kisumu All-Stars boss said his office will ensure clubs within Kisumu benefit from National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) alongside Universal Health Care (UHC), adding that clubs will have SACCOs and even help them in obtaining sponsorship. Ochieng noted that his government will accommodate everyone as he is open for consultations.
“ My leadership is based on consultations and every month we shall have a meeting with clubs heads,” he added.
