After both teams failed to utilize chances that came on their way in the early stages. It's the soldiers that looked dangerous up front as they were first to draw the blood thanks to Enosh Ochieng clinical finish from a cross on the 43rd minutes.

On resumption of the second half, both teams picked from where they had left even as Tusker failed to level and so did soldiers blow their chance to cement their lead.

The miss cost them as keeper Jacktone Odhiambo conceded a penalty after he stumbled Timothy Otieno in the penalty area.

Timothy stepped up to score from the spot and put things at a par. Then it was a matter of chances go begging as neither team could strike the final blow despite clear chances coming on the way. The game ended in a 1 - 1 draw.

Albeit, Ulinzi coach Bernard Nyangweso questioned referee's decision, noting that he has turned a blind eye on his charges, due to his slack decision towards the home side.

"We have dropped the three points. We played well but the centre referee had a fixed mind. He frustrated my players every time they were chasing to win possession and made dubious calls,"  Nyangweso complained.

The results see Ulinzi rooted fourth on the log while Tusker is third with 38 points.
