Kalonzo disputed the claims that he has been inciting the county legislators against governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui).

He said he hasn't been meddling in the counties' affairs.

"Any MCA whom I invited here should stand up because I haven't meddled into the affairs of Ukambani counties at all" Kalonzo said.

The former Vice President spoke during a Kamba Leaders Convention at Kiamba primary school in Matungulu, Machakos County on Friday.

He told the MCAs to work with the governors but not overlook bad things done by the executives.

Kalonzo said this will make them not to be accused of barring the governors from executing their duties.

"Yes, work with them for the sake of development. But, that doesn't mean you overlook mismanagement of public funds," Kalonzo said.

He told off leaders who have been asking for his development scorecard stating they should know that he has never had any development kitty for the period he has been leadership.

"During my time there was no CDF or any other funds, what we had to do was to lobby and I did a lot. It's only that I dislike bragging," he added.

The meeting was intended to bring the Kamba nation together to chat a political way forward.

It was, however, snubbed by all the Ukambani governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui).
