A 30-year-old man in Molo, Mau Summit, was on Wednesday evening lynched by irate residents after he reportedly killed his three-year-old son.
The suspect is said to have picked the innocent child from the house at night after a quarrel with his wife and threw him into a burning charcoal outside.
His wife raised alarm attracting neighbours who were infuriated by his action and lynched him.
The middle-aged had reportedly spent the day burning the charcoal before he visited a local den for illicit brews.
Molo police boss Bernard Kioko confirmed the incident.
“The deceased went to a drinking spree and when he got back home, he quarreled with his wife. He would later throw their child who was asleep in a burning furnace,” the OCPD said.
