A successful candidate in the last year`s KCPE examination in Barut area of Nakuru West is appealing for financial intervention from well-wishers to enable him to join form one at the prestigious Musingu High school in Kakamega County.

John Gerishon Kiplangat scored 390 out of the possible 500 marks at Elimu Primary School in Nanyuki and has secured a chance at the national school but his parents who are casual laborers at sand mines in Barut area are not able to raise Ksh.40, 553 as enrollment fees.

The 13-year-old boy fears that the opportunity he has toiled for over the last eight years may slip through his fingers and even dash his dream of becoming a pilot in future.

As his privileged peers join Form one at schools of their choice this week, Kiplangat`s fate hangs in a balance and can only turn to well-wishers to help rekindle his hope for a dream that may otherwise turn elusive.

His father John Kiplangat has sought assistance for his first child from local charity organizations, Nakuru County Government and the Nakuru West Constituency Development Fund Committee but he has not been successful.

Well-wishers can restore Kiplangat`s hope by channeling their donation to John Kiplangat`s Family Bank Account: John Kiplangat AC NO 018000072728 or to Pay Bill number 222111 under John Kiplangat.
