Kesses Member of Parliament Swarup Mishra has launched the upgrading of Bethel-Kipkeino road in Cheptiret, Kipchamo ward.
He says the roads will help to ease transport problems and movement of goods from one place to another that has been a problem witnessed in the recent past.
"The contractor is already on site ready to commence the work. Despite funds challenges from the Government, we are using our funds to ensure the work is done since most of our roads are in pathetic state due to heavy rains witnessed across the country,” said Mishra.
The MP who spoke to the press during the launch of the upgrading of Bethel-Kipkeino roads said he will use all means to ensure all roads are upgraded since poor roads slow down development.
“My aim is to ensure that all roads in the Constituency are passable so that residents can continue with their day to day activities without any problem,” he added.
Mishra however, blamed the Ministry of transport for giving him very little funds to construct roads in his constituency thus the reason behind many roads being in a pathetic condition.
He says he has now been forced to use money from his pocket to construct some of the roads because he cannot stay quiet while the electorates are suffering.
