A section of Gusii region elected has condemned the communal clashes in Narok county.
Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu said the government should move with speed and ensure the communities fighting are stopped.
"We don't want to continue witnessing our people being killed in the communal clashes. The government should act and arrest those behind the heinous acts," he said.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to deploy more police officers to beef up security in the neighboring county.
"Narok county is our neighbor and the clashes may affect our people at the border and those residing in the county. Matiang'i should send more officers to beef up security in the affected areas," said Onyonka.
Kisii County Woman Representative Janet Ong'era said women and children will be the most affected people in the clashes hence government should intervene.
"In such clashes, women and children suffer most. The Interior Ministry under the leadership of Cs Matiang'i should send more police officers to contain the situation. Unnecessary deaths and burning of houses must be stopped," she said.
