Drama ensued after a married couple was chased away from the market for kissing in public.
This happened on Thursday at Mosocho market, Kitutu Chache South in Kisii County.
Benjamin Ochoi and his wife Teresa Nyabonyi were holding hands and kissing each other at the market when angry traders chased them away.
“The world is rotten. How can the man travel all the way from home to the market where his wife is selling maize and start kissing her as we watch? The market is for a business transaction and not lodging,” said Moraa, a trader.
"We have men who have never done such stupid acts in public. Ochoi should know such things are done in bedroom and not in the market,” she said.
Simon Barongo, the traders’ chairman said men should give their wives humble time to sell in the market and wait for them at home to kiss and have sex with them.
Barongo urged traders to kick out rogue traders from the market.
