Police in Nairobi have unearthed a syndicate of laptops thieves in the Central Business District.
The suspects are alleged to steal laptops and then sell them to electronic shops as refurbished items.
Detectives from Parklands Police Station, are said to have conducted a raid at a shop where stolen items were discovered.
Police managed to recover nine laptops while two suspects were arrested.
In a tweet, Kenya Police called upon the individuals who have lost laptop to go for identifications.
“Police are calling upon members of the public who may have lost laptops within the city in the recent past to visit the station and establish whether their gadgets could be among 9 laptops recovered. This is after two house break-in suspects whose photos are attached above were arrested leading to the discovery," read the tweet.
By press time, one laptop had already been identified by the owner who had earlier lost it.
The raid came after police received a tip-off from members of the public.
The suspects are believed to be behind several break-ins in different city estates.
