Kenyan musician Akothee does not depend on music alone to make a living.
The 'don't care attitude' musician who is known for her provocative performance runs three other businesses that help her earn money to feed, cloth as well as provide shelter for her five children.
According to the artist who traces her roots in Luo Nyanza, she has a lot of interest in agriculture, travel and service industries in which she has invested.
"We have about 40,000 pieces of Eucalyptus Grandis, and each is worth Sh1,000. I am also the founder and CEO of Akothee Safaris, which is quickly gaining international repute," she said during an interview.
"My travel firm organises excursions, hotel and airline reservations. We also have a hotel called Morning Star Diani."
Akothee is known for her explicit shows, and the most recent one is when she performed during One Africa music festival on June 2, 2018, at the SSE Arena, Wembley, London.
She almost showed off her nudity, a development that elicited a lot of reactions on social media.
She gave an electrifying performance during the event, and her costume caught the attention of many.
During the interview with Buzz, she said she would diversify her businesses more as she springs up to make more money.
