Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has accused Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny of working with President Uhuru Kenyatta's office to frustrate DP William Ruto's 2022 bid.
Prior to Wednesday's meeting at Weston Hotel, Cherargei claimed that the vocal MP is not 'genuine' and is among those being 'used' by Uhuru's faction to undermine the DP.
"The likes of Kutuny are no longer interested in defending the DP. They are moles who work with those frustrating Ruto."
"We know them and time has come to do away with them. We shall look for a vehicle in 2022 and we shall not work with our enemies," he claimed.
The divisions within the ruling party have seen legislators allied to both principals throw tantrums in public over the war against graft.
In a rejoinder, Kutuny labeled Cherargei, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, and Kapsaret's Oscar Sudi as 'liabilities' working for the DP's downfall.
"These are people when they open their mouths the DP loses votes. They are liabilities to the DP and we can't allow them to spoil our 2022 plans."
And at Weston, despite the wrangles, Murkomen and Kutuny are said to have been united by legislators and tasked to reach out to Mt. Kenya MPs to solidify Ruto's support.
