Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Saturday evening emulated his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta by praying for Mama Susana Magufuli.
At State House in Tanzania, Museveni had visited President John Magufuli before the two headed to the hospital where the nonagenarian is admitted.
In a brief video posted by the Ugandan ruler on Twitter, he's seen praying for Susana, the mother to President Magufuli in the company of close aides.
"While Christians go to Rome, Muslims to Mecca, I come to Tanzania as my pilgrimage. It is like a home to me," he wrote.
"I was also very honoured to meet HE @MagufuliJP's sick mother and pray with her," added the veteran leader.
Last week, Uhuru paid the Tanzanian Head of State a similar courtesy call before the two visited the ailing mother to President Magufuli.
"Hata kijana yangu nitamwambia akuje atembee tembee huku labda ataweza bahatika hata yeye( I will tell my son to come and visit this country maybe he can be lucky to get one)," Uhuru said.
In return, Magufuli who was elected in 2015, gifted Uhuru with four peacocks. The two also spoke about relationships between Kenya and Tanzanian.
“Because of the good friendship between us and our countries, I have been touched and I will give out four Peacocks which will be delivered to him in Nairobi,” said Magufuli.
