Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has sent a message of condolences to the family and friends of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore following his death on Monday.
Through his official Facebook page, Sudi said Collymore death is a big blow to the cooperate world, Safaricom and Kenyans as a whole.
“It's a huge blow to our country as we wake up to sad news that Robert (Bob) William Collymore is no more. Bob was a distinguished leader in the corporate world,” said Sudi.
He noted that the Safaricom CEO will be remembered for turning around the country's biggest telecommunications company.
“I have a dream that one day we shall defeat cancer, it has robbed many lives but that will not make us lose focus. We are determined that we shall all win this war one day. I pass my hearty condolences to the family, friends, Staff of Safaricom PLC and all Kenyans. Poleni sana,” noted Sudi in the post.

Collymore took over the helm of Safaricom in 2010 from Michael Joseph who currently sits in the company’s board as a non-executive director as well as the board chairman for Kenya Airways.
Safaricom announced his death noting in a statement that he been in and out of the country for treatment and that he succumbed to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
