If you happen to land at the varsity, here are places to visit

Tatton agricultural Park

Here you will get a glimpse of what an agricultural park is.

You will learn about the various livestock breeds in Kenya, their management practices and agricultural technologies. The farm hosts a research centre on improved indigenous chicken farming.

The university archives

An archive is like a gallery. Here documents and materials cherished by the university are preserved.

Historical information of the institution is housed in the FEDCOS complex. Trophies, gifts, paintings,  and other artifacts are in plenty. A special permission though is required to gain entry into the archives room.

Botanical garden

Apart just from the fresh atmosphere and the cool shades. The botanical garden has three huts strategically located.

The garden mainly hosts parties. A bonfire lit under a cloudless African sky is an envy even to tourists who occasionally visit the garden. Christened 'bird watchers paradise', it is difficult to describe the botanical garden without sounding like a travel brochure.

A pitch for tug of war or football is well utilized by team building staff who frequently visit the place.

If you are lucky enough, you will see the Llama; an animal said to be an offspring of camel and sheep.

Lord Egerton castle

You may access this magnificent mansion from gate B.

The castle has a painful love story which saw a love-stricken Lord build the 53-roomed mansion to please a girl who had stolen his heart only for the girl to dismiss it as a kernel.

Photographs taken by Lord Egerton are on display and has since become a lovers' nest.
