Sitting at the dock, Maribe was overwhelmed by emotions and could be spotted shedding tears.

As her lawyer Katwa Kigen whispered to her ears, the ex-news anchor could be seen wiping tears off her cheeks.

The moment was the same as her mother hugged her and possibly consoled her; Maribe’s eyes were watery, heavy with tears!

Maribe sat next to her lover Jowie but they rarely spoke.

As the cameras zoomed in the two, Jowie was seen relaxed as Maribe wore a puffy face.

Interestingly, Maribe’s parents never even greeted their daughter’s lover Jowie despite him and Maribe being next to each other at the defendant's stand.

The two are being charged with the murder of Monica Kimani who was killed at her Kilimani apartment.

Director of Public Prosecutions said at prima facie, the two will be charged with murder.

The case is before high court judge Justice Jessie Lessit.
