Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru has launched a scathing attack against Siaya Senator James Orengo over the motion to impeach Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday outside Parliament buildings, Waruguru said that Orengo has no moral authority to push for the removal of the DP from office.
“We are not afraid of the impeachment motion. In fact, James Orengo I will be your usher to assist you to help you take the motion to the Speaker. And I want to tell you this; Ruto is not Moses Wetangula that you rolled like a woman that you had despised.
"We want to tell you that you use underhand tactics to frustrate Wetangula but Ruto you will know he has massive support in this nation,” she said in part.
While appearing during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, Orengo said that he has decided to push for the removal of Ruto from office on the grounds of corruption.
He insisted that the ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga is not behind the motion to send the second in command home as speculated by a section of leaders in his camp.
He insisted that Ruto, who is considered the front runner in the race of power in 2022, is corrupt and misguided by his team.
