Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen on Tuesday met President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House, Nairobi.
Murkomen was at the house on the hill to witness the President sign into law two Bills which were presented to him by the Speaker of the Senate Kenneth Lusaka.
Also present at the State House were Senate Leader of Minority James Orengo and the Solicitor-General Ken Ogeto.
"Today I joined President Kenyatta as he signed Urban Areas and Cities (Amendment) Bill 2017, Petroleum Bill 2017 and Energy Bill 2017 into law. The three bills were passed by both Houses of Parliament," the majority leader tweeted.
Murkomen met Uhuru days after he led a section of Rift Valley leaders into attacking the Jubilee Party leader for allegedly undermining Deputy President William Ruto.
In a burial ceremony in Bomet East on Saturday, the Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator accused the President of using his newfound unity with ODM leader Raila Odinga and the war on corruption to target his deputy.
Murkomen warned they were ready to decamp from Jubilee should the "betrayal" against Ruto continues.
"You cannot hide behind the handshake and fight against graft when we know that the agenda is to fight Ruto politically. Uhuru should come out and tell us he is tired with his deputy and we will call it a day," he threatened.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
Uhuru and Ruto are yet to address their apparent differences which have seen their footsoldiers trade barbs for weeks now.
