In a long closed-door-meeting, the former Premier reportedly addressed the recent leadership rows in the assembly.

In a house where his Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is the dominant side, Odinga urged the leaders to desist from disorderly conflict resolution mechanisms.

Such, he said, are tarnishing his image as a national and regional leader.

The veteran leader also read out the riot act to the lawmakers, apparently in a bid to instill sanity and return calm in the house.

To avoid violent encounters, Odinga reportedly called upon the house to consult the house leadership, stressing on the need for the use of internal conflict resolution channels.

The former Prime Minister was accompanied by Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owilli, Nyando lawmaker Jared Okello and his Nyakatch counterpart Aduma Owuor.

During the meeting, Kisumu County ODM chair and former Muhoroni lawmaker Ayiecho Olweny' tabled a report questioning Speaker Onyango Oloo's competence.

Ayiecho's view was backed by the Luo Community Elders via Odungi Randa and Owuor.
