Orange Democratic Movement party has not reached a coalition agreement with Jubilee's Kieleweke team ahead of 2022 polls, Junet Mohamed has said.
The Kieleweke faction has been working closely with the ODM party, a move that has seen nominated MP Maina Kamanda intensify campaigns for ODM candidate Imran Okoth in Kibra.
Early this month, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu said the main aim of Kieleweke team is to help President Uhuru Kenyatta cement his legacy in 2022.
Lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Sunday claimed that the Orange Democratic Movement party had reached a coalition agreement with the Kieleweke team.
"Which faction of Jubilee? I doubt ODM will accept to be swallowed by Jubilee TangaTanga .. But my friend @JunetMohamed tells me ODM & Jubilee Kieleweke are in merger talks," he said.
And Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who also doubles ODM Director of Elections seemingly confirmed the talks but said no agreement has been reached.
"Wakili@@DonaldBKipkorir nothing so far..and nothing shall be happen with out your knowledge as one of our distinguished attorneys," said Mr Mohamed.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga agreed to work together March 2018, a move that has seen their allies collaborating well for months now.
Former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe had also hinted a coalition between Jubilee and ODM, adding that only those loyal to Uhuru will work with the orange party.
