The office of the Auditor General released a report linking Nyagarama to grand corruption, with billions of money remaining unaccounted for.

During Mashujaa Day celebration, all elected MPs gave Nyagarama a wide berth, despite their previous comradeship during such functions.

Only Speaker Moffat Teya, Nyansiongo MCA John Kebaso and Esise's Joseph Nyarang'o attended the function in which Nyagarama called for unity.

"Just like our national leaders, I am happy to call upon all leaders to join hands with us as we celebrate unity. We must devise a way of working together," he said.

Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi, who was involved in Silverstone plane crash, is recuperating at her Nairobi home following the crash.

North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko and his West Mugirango counterpart Vincent Kemosi snubbed the function. Nyamoko recently dismissed Nyagarama as a conman.

For Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, he chose to celebrate Mashujaa Day in Mombasa in his capacity as a Commissioner in Parliamentary Service Commission.

"I am not aware of snubbing a function. I just attended the national celebrations at the Coast in my capacity as a PSC member," he said on phone.
