The lawyer says that he will not be frightened.

Speaking to journalists at the Milimani Law courts on Monday, Kanjama said that he will continue representing his client in legal matters,  adding he is aiming to see his clients get justice.

“I am not going to be frightened and stop representing my clients, we will pursue the legal matters to the end,” he said.

Kanjama recounted how he unknowingly met the alleged assassins who had been sent to execute him alongside Idris.

According to police investigations, the assassins even went to Kanjama ’s office in Nairobi and exchanged contacts.

A key suspect who allegedly pulled the trigger on Idris died in police cells last week.

Garissa Governor Ali Korane is among suspects who have been quizzed over the attempted murder.

Korane has, however, refuted claims of having a hand in Idris attempted murder.

The attempted murder case has since been taken over by the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI)  George Kinoti.

Kinoti says that the probe is now being done by the homicide team with suspects expected to be arraigned in court this week.

Mukhtar is battling for his life at a Nairobi hospital.
