Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, has slammed Deputy President William Ruto, warning him against his attacks towards former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
This is after Ruto cautioned the ODM party leader Raila Odinga while in Kisauni on Sunday, saying Raila's entrance to the ruling Jubilee Party in which he (Ruto) is the deputy, is not welcomed.
Citing the March 9, Uhuru-Raila handshake, Ruto said Raila is plotting to wreck the party and divide its leaders ahead of 2022 general elections when he will be seeking to succeed Kenyatta.
However, Joho did not take the statement lightly during his visit to Migori on Monday as he traversed the county in Nyanza, campaigning for ODM candidate Ochilo Ayacko ahead of the senatorial by-election on October 8.

Joho warned Ruto, saying he (Ruto) should first face him (Joho) before making any attacks on Raila.
"Na yule mtu ambaye anatangatanga akiona yeye anawezatusi Raila my friend... muambie kwanza aje adeal na sisi kwanza kabla atusi Raila," said the ODM deputy party leader.
He said Raila was still in charge of ODM and as a national political figure regardless of how other leaders see him.
"I want to tell you that Raila is still in charge my friend. I want Kenyans to know that we're expressing confidence to the leadership of ODM. Kenyans should know that we are following Raila Amolo Odinga," he said.
