Deputy President William Ruto has claimed that members of parliament queues in his office every day for development discussions in their respective constituencies.
Ruto, while speaking on Tuesday during an interview by Citizen TV, revealed that he receives several MPs on a daily basis at his office irrespective of their political affiliations.
"Everyday you will find several MPs queued in my office purposely to meet me for discussions on development irrespective of their political parties. We must work for Kenyans because we asked the job," he said.
The DP challenged elected leaders to be development champions for the sake of boosting the livelihoods of the people in their areas irrespective of their political stands.
According to DP Ruto, the people of Kenya deserve quality services from government and this must be achieved through the unity of leaders.
"Elected leaders must use public funds wisely to initiate various development projects in their respective areas of administration. Anyone found misusing money meant for development will have to carry his own cross while facing the law," stated Ruto.
He confirmed that he is not opposed to corruption adding that he has no problem with DCI's involvement in graft war.
Some of Ruto's allies have been claiming that the war is targeting him.
