Garissa town came to a standstill when National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga visited Garissa County.
Raila arrived in Garissa County to an electrifying reception as residents and a section of local leaders welcomed him when he landed at the Garissa airstrip.
Raila visited the county in February 2017 to mobilise residents to register as voters ahead of the August 8, 2017, General Election.
The former Prime Minister was received by the former Garissa Governor Nathif Jama and other county leaders.
The residents who were excited by the opposition leader’s visit wore orange caps in support of his ODM party.
During his tour in North Eastern, Raila said the residents should get a chance to be registered as voters in order for them to be able to exercise their civic duty as Kenyans.
