Musati was arrested in Tuesday by DCI officers.

According to Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the Traffic Officer, Constable Hillary Korir who had been deployed to General Waruinge road near Starehe Boys' Centre, inspected a 14-seater vehicle, Toyota Hiace model.

He arrested the driver for the offence of driving without clearance from the Transport Licensing Board (TLB).

The officer escorted it for booking at Pangani Police Station when he met Musati at the Kariokor roundabout who was armed with a rifle.

"Along the way, the Driver made a call to whom he claimed was the owner of the vehicle. On arriving at Kariokor Roundabout, PC Abel Musati who was in full police uniform & armed with an AK 47 intercepted the vehicle and pulled his fellow officer out of the vehicle. He further ordered the driver to drive off as he fired one round to PC Korir but he missed the shot," DCI noted in part of their statement on Facebook

He is set to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.
