An amateur video in which the boy showcased his masterly in current affairs largely borrowed from Radio Maisha, may have after all opened doors for the youngster from a humble background.
With the video, where Master Onkendi ridicules his former best presenter Alex Mwakideu going viral, Radio Maisha took the opportunity to trace the mysterious boy.
Guided by veteran journalist Mike Nyagwoka, the youngster was housed by the Standard Media Group on Thursday night.
Morning show presenters Mwalimu Mbaruk and Billy were left in stitches when Master Onkendi seemed to have answers to all their questions.
In the interview, Onkendi also highlights his poor upbringing, the life under grandmother and an aunt who has since gone insane.
Fans from across the country contributed in harness to have the boy's commentary talent natured for the better part of Friday.
In Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group, Radio Maisha followers lauded the youngster and embraced the idea of nurturing the emerging talent.
Interestingly, Onkendi knows everything presenter in Radio Maisha, their programmes and the time they go on air despite being labelled academically dumb.
Amazingly, he's able to mention most of players in top EPL teams and their position of play.
