Popular Kenyan musician Kristoff has threatened to move to court if the a young upcoming band called Effect Gang does not apologize to him over the accusations that he stole his latest song dubbed 'Bash Bash'.

 In a letter shared by Nairobi Gossip Club, Kristoff's management wrote to the management of Effect Gang giving them 3 days to issue a written apology failure to which they will be taken to court.

Kristoff's management explained in the letter that Effect Gang was tainting the image of of the musician by pulling such publicity stunts which have serious consequences. 

The management instead bounced the accusations back to Effect Gang stating that the band had produced their song which was similar to Kristoff's trailer video that had come out a day earlier.

"Our clients have brought to our attention the grave allegations of your clients by the name EFFECT GANG that our clients 'stole' their song. These allegations are serious and our clients have decided not to ignore them because our clients are well established recording artists and their career and business are a going concern. The song in question is called BASH and it is by Kristoff featuring Yvonne Darcq and Kush Tracey and it was released on 13th September 2019," A section of the letter read.

The manager of Yvonne Darcq who is one of the artistes on the collabo confirmed to Hivisasa via phone that indeed the letter was authentic. 

Effect Gang has been given three days as per the letter to issue a written apology or face legal actions from Kiristoff's management. Earlier on, Kristoff had simply denied the allegations.
