Machakos county governor Dr Alfred Nganga Mutua has called for prudent use of all funds allocated in the Machakos county budget for the fiscal year 2019/2018.
Speaking on Tuesday through a statement shared on Facebook, Mutua affirmed that he will not allow any wastage or theft of the county funds.
"Today I have ascent the county government of Machakos budget for the fiscal year 2019/2020 in my Machakos office.
"I call for prudent use of the funds allocated and will not tolerate the wastage or theft of public resources," stated Mutua.
According to the vocal county boss, the approved budget is reasonable and also people-driven.
He went ahead to acknowledge the county assembly leadership for passing the budget which will accelerate development and give quality services to the local residents.
"I thank the Machakos county assembly and its leadership lead by the speaker Hon. Florence Mwangangi for passing the budget which will certainly enable my government to initiate the much-needed projects," Mutua acknowledged.
The budget was approved by the county assembly on 27th June 2019.
The approved budget according to the county speaker, Hon Mwangangi is already in the hands of county executive committee for effective and efficient implementation to bring services to the people.
