All Stars thrashed Thika United 7-1 in one of National Super League (NSL) end-season-matches on Sunday to book a KPL slot for next season.

On Tuesday, Buyu hosted the team for lunch at the grand Royal Swiss Hotel and handed Sh150, 000 cash donation.

“I am giving a contribution and like I said this is for us to just celebrate. It should not be put towards buying kits or boots or anything. It is to give us an opportunity to at least buy a soda when we go back home. This is Sh150, 000,” she said.

Last year, she organized the Buyu National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) tournament that featured 280 teams from all the 35 wards of Kisumu County.

The tournament whose final match was won by Base Camp FC after a 2-1 win over Ngere Lions FC in the final proved to be a breeding ground for Kisumu All Stars.

Five players from the tournament were scouted and joined the All Stars side that went on to book a KPL spot.

The five are Nelson Amunga formerly of Obunga FC, Eric Otieno and Calvin Wekesa (both Nyamlori FC), Billy Agai (Power Boys FC) and Steven Ochieng (Simba FC).
