Just a day after Governor Ali Korane was released after recording his statements over his links to the shooting of a former CEC, his brother Mohammed Bunow has been arrested.
He was arrested on Tuesday night at his home by officers reported to be from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The arrest is the latest in a series of arrests as the DCI sought to unravel more details that led to the shooting of Idris Muktar a week ago in Nairobi.
Other individuals in police custody include a bodaboda operator, the governor's cousin among others suspected to be hired killers.
Preliminary police reports indicate that Idris has not been in good terms with the governor, a fact that is attributed to a case the latter was following up with the courts.
A source within the county administration disclosed to this writer on Wednesday that among the issues that Idris was keenly following is the alleged governor's fake degree from the University of Nairobi and a series of graft cases linked to the executive.
